Fourth Trimester Workshop

4 hours of content, you will explore life after birth in an intimate & safe environment.

Participants will walk away with some food for thought & an idea of what to expect in their new normal once baby arrives.

Many parents say, "I wish I had learned more about what happens after the birth." We hear it all the time. That’s why we’ve created a dedicated workshop to help parents-to-be navigate the early weeks of parenthood with confidence and realistic expectations.
The first three months after birth bring enormous changes for both baby and parents. While pregnancy and birth often take center stage, this critical time is just as important. Our workshop bridges that gap, offering evidence-based guidance, practical strategies, and emotional support as you prepare to welcome your newborn.

Who is this workshop for?
This session is ideal for expectant parents in their third trimester who want to:

  • Understand newborn needs and behavior

  • Learn about postpartum recovery

  • Feel prepared for the transition to parenthood

Whether it’s your first baby or you're looking for a refresher, this workshop provides a supportive space to ask questions, gain knowledge, and feel empowered for the journey ahead.

What You’ll Learn

  • Newborn Sleep – What’s normal, how to respond, and why newborns sleep so differently from adults.

  • Development in the First 12 Weeks – Understanding your baby’s early growth and how to support their development.

  • How Your Baby Communicates – Learning to read cues, cries, and body language to better meet their needs.

  • Recreating the Womb – Settling techniques and soothing strategies to help newborns adjust.

  • Building Your Relationship with Your Baby – Bonding, attachment, and understanding your baby's unique temperament.

  • Parenthood and Breastfeeding Expectations – What’s normal, what to expect, and where to find support.

  • Matrescence & Patrescence – The emotional and identity shifts that come with becoming a parent.

  • Emotional Changes – Navigating the adjustment period, baby blues, and recognizing when extra support is needed.

  • Relationships & Intimacy – Understanding how your partnership may change and strategies to stay connected.

  • Creating Your Village – Building a strong support network for the postpartum period.

  • Tips for Visitors – Setting boundaries and managing expectations to ensure a smoother transition.

  • Coping with Stress – Practical tools for handling sleep deprivation, overwhelm, and the emotional ups and downs of early parenthood.

This class isn’t about learning how to change nappies or swaddle—that’s covered in our birth education course. Instead, this workshop offers insight, shared wisdom, and a space to explore what postpartum will look like for you.

Join us to feel informed, supported, and ready for the incredible journey ahead.
